HED is a dynamic, growing company dedicated to providing our clients with top notch design
expertise at a fair price. The company originally started in 1991 as DiaSystems Electronics based in Scottsdale,
Arizona. In 1998 the company relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado and became Hicks Electronic Design. Since then
we have expanded our design capabilities and we continue to be awarded many exciting projects.

Sam Valeriano - Senior Design Engineer
I have nearly 20 years experience designing
hardware and software for DSP and microprocessor systems. I have worked on the design of military satellite
communications systems for Lockheed, engine control systems for GM, monitoring equipment for semiconductor
fabs at Intel and AMD, high quality audio equipment for radio and consumer markets, as well as many other
diverse and interesting projects. Some of my areas of expertise include TI and Motorola DSPs, MPEG,
USB interfaces, audio processing, DOS and Windows programming, and DSP algorithm development.
I like working for HED because of the
wide range of design projects. I adhere to the "get it done right" philosophy of the
company and I am eager to use my experience to solve your design problems.

Mike Bitner
- Outside Sales
My engineering, quality, materials, sourcing,
and military background provide a robust network of contacts to assist in HED's marketing efforts. An added
benefit of my diverse background is my ability to effectively communicate customer needs, contractual
requirements, and product specifications to the HED design team. This detail, gained in the initial 'sales'
phase, provides a solid foundation for growth during the product design and development lifecycle.
